Healthy Eating on a Healthy Budget

Looking for a way to eat healthy while also being friendly to your budget? SCULPT presents a partnership with Jasmine Simone from Of Salt and Soil where the intersection of healthy eating and budget friendly options are explored. On the first episode of SCULPT we will explore how healthy eating can affect ones budget, look at innovative ways to stretch your budget, and how to maximize energy throughout a busy day.
 

 
Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

  • 2 cups quinoa (cooked)
  • 1 fresh pear- diced
  • 1 fresh apple-diced
  • 2 Tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp Pink Himalayan Sea salt
  • ¼ cup ground flax seed
  • ½ cup coconut flakes

 

  1. Combine quinoa and water into container with 2:1 (water to quinoa)
  2. Heat contents similar to oatmeal preparation
  3. Once cooled add diced pears and apples
  4. Add Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
  5. Add Flax Seed
  6. Add Coconut Flakes
  7. Add Cinnamon
  8. Add Sweetener to taste (agave, honey, or sugar)
