SCULPT
WHAT WE DO
SCULPT was designed to provide participants with valuable wellness information that can be incorporated into their everyday lives. Making healthier choices doesn’t just apply to the adults in the household, it’s something kids can do too! Our SCULPT workshop series is designed to be kid friendly and inclusive so that future generations are empowered with the tools necessary to build a healthier future.
When families live healthier lifestyles, they also save money in the long run, which helps to increase financial stability. They are often able to reduce their medical expenses and the need for medications, resulting in a better quality of life. Our SCULPT workshop series allows families to invest in themselves by creating fun memories through learning how to build a garden and grow their own foods; participating in cooking classes; and engaging in fun fitness and health related activities.
For 2023, our SCULPT Program will be run in collaboration with community partners. Our four SCULPT Workshops of Your Health Is Your Wealth: Understanding Your Health Numbers, Family Fitness Fun, Frugal Chef, and Home Gardening will be brought to partner sites and the families they serve.
For a period of 4 months, participant families will commit to attending monthly educational sessions. Health data will be collected at the beginning of the series and again at the 4-month mark. Our workshop series will also include topics such as self-care, Q & A sessions with medical professionals, physical fitness, growing your own food, and eating healthy on a budget.
With dedication and consistency, families are empowered to improve their own health outcomes!
At the end of the year, Warrick Dunn Charities will hold our Annual Holiday Workshop and Pantry Fill for all the SCULPT partners, celebrate the health wins of the families, and complete a SCULPT Graduation where families will receive grocery bags of items to bring home just in time for the holidays.
If you are interested in bringing SCULPT to your partner site or know of an organization that would benefit from the SCULPT Workshop Series, please email our Program Coordinator Anna D’Alessandro at [email protected].
